History

'Eudora' was introduced by Stephen Stringer of the USDA in Poplarville MS in 2009. 'Eudora' was tested as CD8-67 and selected by J.A. Mortensen from the cross 'Fry' x 'Southland' in 1981. 'Eudora' was selected for producing med/large berries with good flavor with even ripening clusters that enable the grapes to be cluster picked.

Comments

We have informally trialed Eudora for a few years. Berry quality is average to good, but not exceptional. Like most black cultivars, pest problems have been minimal. I have not seen that much interest in cluster picking of berries, and so there has not been that much interest in this cultivar. I don't know of any nursery that has Eurdora plants for sale.
